DATE: March 4th and 5th (Fri and Sat), 2011
WHERE: Again this year, this event will take place at the Lonesome Dove Ranch near Old San Patricio (between Calallen and Orange Grove) and will be a Sporting Clays course. (Click for Map) Mrs. Laura Berry of Bay, Ltd, has graciously donated the use of the ranch to the CC API. Please respect the facilities as you enjoy the day.
FORMAT:20station sporting clays course (set up by Tournament Targets Inc of San Antonio) - 5-man teams. Friday, March 4th: 20 station sporting clays practice round (12 Noon until dark - cost is $30/person) Saturday, Mar 5th: 20 station sporting clays PLUS 32 target 2-man flurry. Flurry cost is $20/team with unlimited entries.
TIME: New this year!! Only one flight! Flight goes off at 9:00 AM with Safety Meeting beginning at 8:30 AM. Trophies and door prizes follow. (Get your entries in early!!) ** ALL SHOOTERS MUST BE SIGNED IN NO LATER THAN 8:30 AM FOR SAFETY MEETING AT 8:30 AM **
REGISTRATION: *** ONLY TAKING FIRST 200 SHOOTERS ***
Early Registration - team roster and fees prior to Mon, February 21st -- $160/man or $800/5-man team
Late Registration - team roster and fees after Mon, February 21st -- $200/man or $1,000/5-man team
If you wish to shoot on the same squad with your friends and/or guest, submit all names and entry fees on one application. If you have a partial squad or are a single, you will be assigned to a squad.
STATION SPONSOR: $600 - Get great recognition at YOUR station! You can put up your company banners, do give-aways, soft drinks, sports drinks, and/or snacks. (Absolutely NO alcohol!!!) You must provide a minimum of (2) people to man the station throughout the day.
3-DAY WEEKEND SPECIAL: For an all inclusive price that includes: Practice round on Friday for your team, (5) Shooter's fees for Saturday and Sunday's CC Friends of NRA Clay Bird Shoot, (2) Carts each day for all three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and your Company Name on a Special Corporate Sponsor Board - $2,500
SPONSORSHIPS: Platinum - $1000, Gold - $750, Silver - $500, Bronze - $250 includes name on sponsor board, food/beverage, and registration for door prizes. (Does not include shooter fees.)
Sponsor fees & information are due in by Mon, February 28th. All fees are due prior to/or at registration.
PRIZES/AWARDS: High Overall and Runner Up - Both receive a plaque
High Overall Team and Runner-Up Team - All team members receive a plaque
Lewis Class AA, A, B, C, & D 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place all receive a plaque.
Winning flurry team members each receive a rifle (on display at the shoot) donated by Hughes Christensen. Many very nice door prizes!!
ELIGIBILITY: Must be an API Member of the Corpus Christi Chapter (annual dues are $20 - membership form included)
MUST BE ACTIVELY EMPLOYED IN THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY (or immediate family of member)
Kids in school or college - no charge for dues
OTHER INFO: Friday Lunch - IPS (JR Sendejo) will provide sandwiches & Soft Drinks. Friday Afternoon - Boots & Coots (Jim Geiptner) and Professional Wireline Rentals (Big Mike Montemayor). Breakfast Saturday morning provided by Coil Tubing Services (Carlos Cruz). Lunch Saturday provided by Halliburton Companies (Ross Hahn & Tommy Cranford). Afternoon Food - Baker Hughes (Larry Gonzales & Chris Mayo) will provide Tortilla Wraps.
All registered shooters will receive a very nice participation prize at registration and will be registered for door prizes. Shells are NOT INCLUDED!! Sporting clays course is 100 rounds. Flurry is 32 clays (2-man team shooting as many as possible). BRING PLENTY OF SHELLS!!
DIRECTIONS:Take highway 624 west from Calallen toward Orange Grove to Highway 666 (4-way stop). Turn right. Just before San Patricio look for "API Sporting Clays Shoot" sign on right (also look for "Rattlesnake Races" sign). Turn right and follow to ranch entrance at end of road.
